From what you mention he does not like to sit for long to study. So allot time slots of 20/ 25 min study and 5 min break. Keep healthy snacks and a soft ball in the room. During the break he can eat or kick the ball around. During the second break he can run up and down the stairs. He needs to move around a lot. Hence as soon as he returns allow him to play first. Keep a time limit. Then he can sit to complete his home work and studies. Studying has to be fun and interactive for him. Think of methods like - he kicks the ball if he answers a question. Or while he is kicking around he answers.
