Answer:

How to reduce weight post pregnancy

To reduce the weight gained during pregnancy, wait till your baby turns 6 months old, and will start taking top feeds and not be dependent solely on you. You can try the following:

  • Proper Diet: Eat a well balanced diet, with small and frequent meals, and make sure that you do not dip to less than 2,000 Kcal per day. Have fruit, salad sticks, whole wheat crackers, a cup of Greek yogurt or a handful of roasted sunflower/pumpkin seeds. For diet tips, you can read this blog: Diet to lose baby weight
  • Breastfeeding: Breastfeeding can help in losing post baby weight faster.
  • Postpartum Yoga: Yoga after childbirth not only helps in strengthening your pelvic muscles it also helps in tightening all those loose and sagging muscles you get post delivery. You can read this blog for more information: Postpartum Yoga
  • Exercise: Walk regularly for atleast 20-30 minutes in your garden, park or neighbourhood. You can also try the following exercises: Exercises to reduce tummy postpartum

Note: Please check for allergies in your child and his/her medical condition. Please consult with the Doctor in person for physical examination and treatment.
