Answer:
It is just separation anxiety that madehim behave so. It is normal and will gradually taper as he settles down and feels safe in his environment. It is alright even if he repeats the behaviour. Please understand from his perspective. He is just three. He is going to a new environment and new people will be handling him. It will be temporary. Reduce his anxiety ( if he is anxious) By talking excitedly about him being a big boy and going to a bigger school Take him to the new school and let him view it from outside. This will make him familiar. Involve him in sticking g name Labels on his new lunch box , pencil box bag etc. have a 15 minute Talk till he gets familiar with his new place. Before he joins prepare him well ahead with the new routine of sleep and wake period After all this he may still cry or refuse to go. Persist in sending. He will learn that he has no choice when it comes to school. And remember you have to stay calm. Hug him. Tell you understand and that you would come to pick him up when school gets over. And be there to pick him up on time so that he trusts you on that. If you are arranging other transport then brief on that. All the best.
