You may include calorie dense foods . For example - fruits like mango, litchi. chickoo, grapes and banana and vegetables like aloo, arbi, sweetpatatoes. In cereal you may include more of upma/ idli/ rice etc . Give more of pulses or dals, cheese or paneer ,eggs, meat or fish etc. Try giving 3 main meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner and 3 snacks in between - which could be in the form of sandwich/ fries or pita pocket with hummus/ cheese paneer patato cutlets/ fruit smoothies or fruit shakes made from whole milk or milk based products and fruits etc. Include a dessert after lunch or dinner like mishti dahi/ rice kheer/ custards / fruit yogurt etc. Also include powdered nuts like cashewnuts or almonds and mashed dry fruits like raisins, dates etc in the diet of the child- you may add them to shakes or milk based desserts. Hope these tips will help!
