Cold/cough means kid's body needs to be hydrated well. Firstly give warm water throughout the day. this will remove toxins. Secondly warm soups, made of dal, veggies are great. If you eat non-veg then chicken broth works like a miracle for running nose. In addition, soft khichadi, Upma with vegetables, soft dosas, porridge, kheer, rice-dal, soft vegetable rotis or parathas. Try to give more of liquids throughout the day as this will help to remove toxins from the body plus they are easy to take. Do not give sugary foods.
