Daily Activities You can do to foster a child’s Brain Development

Feb 28, 2022, 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Research has proven that 95% of human brain development happens in the first 5-years of our life.
The first five years of life are when a child’s brain development is the fastest and when more than 700 neural connections are being formed every single second.

The surroundings, nutrition, and external stimuli at this stage play a defining role in a child’s development. So, in that sense, every time we interact with a toddler, it’s not just their eyes that light up—it’s their brains, too.
Each parent plays an important role in providing positive early experiences that foster a child’s learning, growth, and development for a lifetime. Parents are one of the first ones to spot and respond to a child’s curiosity and engage them in meaningful ways. This is called brain building.

So, how can you help your child with positive interactions?

What could a parent do on a day-to-day basis to help the child’s brain development? What are the kind of activities, which are age-appropriate for toddlers in terms of brain development?

What are some of the foods/nutrients which are important for a child’s brain development?

How to know if a child’s  Brain Development is right for their age?

Find answers to all such questions! Join this workshop with our Expert, Dr. Himani - who will help us learn various activities to foster a child’s brain development.

Hello Ma'am ! Please suggest activities which I can do with my 2 years old sitting at home with resources available at home itself to encourage his brain development? He is really naughty, not interested in stories, poems . He prefers listening to songs though and dances along.

Namaskar Ma'am !Mydaughter is 4. 5 years old. She has been at home due to COVID. I have recently noticed that she is not that sharp and smart in answering queries anymore as she was when she was 2 years old. She doens't take interest in reading picture books as she used to earlier .There has been no improvement in her language skills. She is most of the time busy watching videos and cartoon on TV. My wife is also working and so my daughter spends most of her time with her grandparents at home. Is this a sign of some underlying issue. What should be my immediate step. Kindly guide.

Ma'am is technology a boon or bane as far as brain development of children is concerned? I don't allow my two children to watch phones and ipad. Will that hinder or foster their brain development? Am I wrong in being strict with them in this regard? I am confused as in present times one has to be techno-savvy since the beginning years of their life. So will restricted use only during the online class hamper their brain development or foster it?
