My daughter is 16 years old , she has been a quiet child since the very beginning. she is becoming even quieter and one doesn't even realise her presence around as she hardly communicates with anyone. She doens't have friends or anyone whom she confides in. She seems to be scared of something at times and shies away from expressing herself. Are these signs of depression? If yes, what should be my next step as a parent?

Meri 8 saal ki beti, ghar par rehkar bhut chidchidi ho gayi hai. Woh sara din complaints karti hai, doosro ki galtiyan dhoondti rehti hai. Baat baat par gussa karti hai,aur chillane lagti hai. Usey slaah dene par lecture dene lagti hai, aur bhut argue karti hai. Kya yeh sab is age ke bacchey ke liye normal hai? Mai usme kaise changes laun jissey woh meri baat suney.

My 9 year old hasn't been able to sleep at a stretch for 2-3 hours and wakes up quite often at night. He doesn't sleep during daytime. He keeps turning and toppling on bed throughout the night. He has been recently complaining of many unexplained bodyaches as well. His appetite has also gone down. He is not able to concentrate in studies .Are these recent changes in him normal? If no, what do these indicate?

My 13 year old girl has been showing many changes of late. She has become really conscious of her looks, how she dresses up, her hair style, how she speaks and carries herself. Are these changes normal?I have noticed her chatting with a boy often and she seems to be attracted to him, though I have had no discussions with her on this topic. Is it normal at this age? If yes, what should be my role as a parent? Should I stop her from doing so?Please guide.

My 20 year old son has been preparing for medical entrance tests from past two years with no luck. He is preparing through online classes these days . He gets depressed in between sitting at home and gets philosophical and says things which goes above my head . He sometimes mentions things like- his life is useless, he is wasting his time and has over expectations from himself. He often compares himself with his friends and says they are so smart and better off. I often notice him staring aimlessly and getting lost in his own world? Are these signs of depression? Does he need counseling?
