How to ensure a safe, healthy & full term pregnancy

Hello Doctor ! My sister-in-law is 40 weeks pregnant. Stilll there are no signs of labour. Is this a cause of concern? What can she do at home so that labour begins? Also please suggest some food items suitable for this period.
