Season Change may be accompanied by chills, cough, sore throat, blocked or runny nose, headache, body ache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhoea – s/ he is under a flu attack.
Boost your child's natural immunity
• Eating healthy foods that are rich in protein, vitamin C and zinc (five or more servings of fruits and vegetables a day takes care of this)
• 8-9 hours of daily sleep
• Drinking plenty of fluids such as vegetable juices and soups
• Daily bout of physical activity
Keep all this going for you and your child – and all of you will stay strong during season change!
Frequent handwashing
Hand washing provides easy protection. Inculcate the habit in your child to wash hands when back home from school, mall, day-care center or anywhere else.
Stop the spread of germs
Keep cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and objects that may be contaminated can help slow the spread of cold and flu.
Take extra precautions
Equip your child with tissues so s/he coughs or sneezes into the tissue — and not into the hands. Stay home when you are sick to help prevent spreading your illness to others.

Hello Doctor! My baby is 8 months old. This month for the second time he is having vomitings for 2-3 days during both episodes. He is not able to take milk or anything semi-solid. He looks weak. What could have been the cause for such frequent episodes? During the first bout of illness he was prescribed antibiotics as he had loose stools too.

Ma'am Namastey! My 3 years old son complains of pain in throat all the time. He feels better on taking lukewarm water. Doctor didn't find anything unusual or worrisome. But he is not able to eat well due to this. Which tests are required to find out the actual cause?

Hello Doctor! My 2. 8 year old child often complains of pain in legs as well as backache. Is this normal for a child to go through pain at this age? The pain gets worse with ac or even with fan on in high mode . Is this a sign of some nutritional deficiency or could it be an issue related to bones. Please suggest some ways to help her ease out her pain. Thanks in advance.
