What is the big difference between teaching an online class versus a pre-covid physical classroom? Please share your views, both as a teacher and as a parent, if you are a parent

I have a 8 year old child who has always been quite sharp and active but Online classes doesn't seem to be working out for him. Initially he was interested in these but now I don't think he is keen. Pls suggest me what should I do and also what can parents do in the times of online teaching?

On Teacher's Day, I just want to thank my Maths Teacher whose patience, understanding changed me from someone who hated Maths to someone who started loving it. The way he understood my challenges and fears and helped me pace ahead - Thank you and I wish everyone a Happy Teacher's Day. We all should inspire others and be mentors to someone.

Today, I would love to thank my English teacher in grade 7 in CJM Waverley, Mussoorie, Miss Dias who not only had a very engaging way of teaching but also went beyond and recreated Shakespeare through dramatisation and made each story come alive . I fondly remember her today

Is it really necessary to put my child for external online tutions as he is not doing anything other than attending online school. Or I can let it go for this year.

I feel very bad when I have to force my child to thank his teachers on teacher's day. Where we still are very thankful to our teachers and always like to Express it.

Teaching has always been a tough job and now it's even more so. It requires genuine and sincere interest and passion to keep going through what is the #newnormal. My question is, once the pandemic settles and we are safe to start schooling "non-virtually", would any of you still continue the online classes on certain days? I'm asking this because several teachers are realising that this has prepared them for loss of school days that arise due to other factors. Wishing all the teachers on the panel a very Happy Teachers' Day!
