My son is 7 years old . I have seen him masturbating while playing games on phone. I really wonder how did he learn this act and is it okay if he continues with it? What is the likelihood that he was abused as a child and that's why he knows about this. We were in a joint family set up few years back and a distant male relative stayed with us for quite sometime. Could this be the reason for such a small child to be doing this? What should be our role now as parents in managing this? Please guide I am quite worried.

My daughter who has recently turned 8 years old is nowadays getting intrigued when she sees a couple touching each other. My brother-in- law recently got married and he and his wife sometimes indulge in PDA. My daughter also asks me questions such as " why do they kiss each other like this, or touch each other often"? What would be the best answer to these questions as I can't tell my brother-in- law to do this in privacy and not in front of a child .

Ma'am please guide me about the signs of sexual abuse and also what impact it can have on the child? My daughter is 4 years old and I have seen regression in her Language as well as changes in her behaviour such as getting startled on opening of a door, or getting uncomfortable when someone touches her. Could these changes be there due to sexual abuse??

My son is 15 years old. I do not approve of the language he has been using lately with his friends while talking to them on phone. I have on few occasions read their messages on girls as well. For instance- this girl is hot and attractive. And how to woo her. Asking each other for tips. I have not discussed this with him as I don't want to disclose that i have been checking his messages and I don't want him to hide things from me. Please suggest how to explain this to him.

My daughter is 12 years old now. She keeps on talking about her looks, her complexion, her skin glow n how can she improve on those .She does rigorous exercises everyday and is literally starving herself to lose weight. I do not understand why is she getting so obsessed with her appearance. Is this normal? What can be done to make her go easy on herself?

My girl child is 8 years old. When she was 5 we had a male helper at home to help my husband with office work. He used to take her along to another room saying he will play with her and I can carry on with my household work.. once I caught him kissing on her lips. We threw him out immediately. I have no idea what else he did to her and since how long he was doing this. I also could not muster the strength to ask these questions from her since she was a small child at that time. She gets scared when she watches men be it known to us or strangers. I am also scared to leave her alone. It's been three years still I am unable to overcome this and have this guilt feeling inside. How do I help myself and then her in healing ourselves?
