I stay in Jaipur. It's too hot here. I am unable to take my child for any speech therapy sessions. She is 3. 3 years old. She can just say 4-5 words like mama, baba, dedo, bye-bye etc. Please tell me how can I go about it at home itself. I have made her screen time zero. I have been reading story books to her. Besides that, please guide me what else needs to be done. Thanks Doctor🙏🏻🙏🏻

Doctor I wanted to understand is speech delay due to some issue in brain of the child ? Can some medicines which improve the functioning of the brain, help in language development too? My son is 4 years old. He goes to playschool but he still can't say a complete sentence. How can I make his speech at par or even better than his agemates? His mind is very sharp, he is more interested in how the toys functions than playing with toys per se. So is there a chance that only the part of the brain responsible for speech is affected and it can be corrected with medicines? Looking forward to ur reply. 👍

Namaskar Madam! My child is 4. 5 years old. He stutters a lot while speaking . His speech sometimes becomes incoherent and incomprehensible. He stutters at particular alphabets like la, pa and ra. How can this be rectified? Will it get rectified on his own with age or it needs intervention? If yes, whom should I consult a specech therpist or a speech language pathologist? Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

My 5 year old child is a preterm baby. She have had frequent episodes of illness including pneumonia , for which she has been off and on hospitalized. It is difficult to comprehend what she is trying to say. She remains mostly irritable and shouts or hits us. What can be done so that she learns to express herself? Just to add she is quite slow to learn too.

Hello Doctor! My child is 2. 5 years old. He can't express himself in words at all. His communication skills are really lagging behind as compared to his agemates. I have been advised to consult a developmental pediatrician by my doctor. He thinks it could be due to mild autism. Do all children who have autism have speech delay? Will therapies help in improving his language skills? Or could there be any other cause for this poor language acquisition?
