Hi Swapna, ideally one should wait till your baby is at least 6 months old. This is because calorie restrictions and rapid weight loss can decrease milk production. 2015-12-30 13:00:34

I have a baby of one year and three months old and I am still breastfeeding her. I have my post pregnancy belly still. People around me says that I should have worn an abdominal belt after delivery immediately. Since I haven't used any belt till now they say that my belly won't reduce and remain inflated. Is it true? Is there any ways to get rid of my postpartum belly now? Is there any particular exercise to follow? How to attain my pre-pregnancy weight? Also provide the diet plan to reduce weight along with breastfeeding. I am not able to wean my baby as she creates a lot of tantrums when I don't feed her. Please help...

Hi Deepika, you can reduce your belly area with right diet and exercises. 2015-12-30 13:30:34

You should totally avoid fried foods and sweets. 2015-12-30 13:30:55

Do exercises which focus on abdominal region like stomach crunches, bending exercises etc. 2015-12-30 13:32:39
message user image
Should I use abdominal belt? 2015-12-30 13:33:34
message user image
Puja Vasisht
There are some yoga asanas which help in tummy reduction. 2015-12-30 13:33:59
message user image
Puja Vasisht
Abdominal belt may camouflage your tummy region but would not help in its reduction. 2015-12-30 13:34:56
message user image
Speaking of yoga asanas, let me know about it. Any link for watching it? 2015-12-30 13:36:00
message user image
Puja Vasisht
Few asanas like vajrasan, pachhittomasan and other feet touching asana help in this. You can find them on internet. 2015-12-30 13:37:54

And after my pregnancy my arms have grown fat.. What should I do to reduce it.. Even if my weight changes my arm size remainsvthe same 2015-12-30 13:38:08

Once you go for overall weight loss diet plan and exercises, there would be an overall inch loss. 2015-12-30 13:39:38

Does going to gym help? Some say it helps and some say it doesn't 2015-12-30 13:40:44

And am not able to control my baby when trying to wean her 2015-12-30 13:41:10
message user image
Puja Vasisht
Again you need to focus on exercises which give stretch to your upper arms. Heavier arms could be genetic too, so a little heavier arms would always be there. 2015-12-30 13:41:20

Puja Vasisht
Going to a good gym with a proper instructor helps. 2015-12-30 13:42:10

It is recommended to breastfeed your baby as long as you can, for 2 years at least. 2015-12-30 13:42:43
message user image
The more I give her, the more difficult it will be to wean her na 2015-12-30 13:44:42
message user image
Puja Vasisht
But if you really want to, keep her well fed through out the day and ensure a filling dinner.Using bitter things like neem, karela juice discourages the baby. It will take some time to wean her off. 2015-12-30 13:44:44
message user image
Puja Vasisht
You can also make some other family member, to put her too sleep. 2015-12-30 13:46:16
message user image
Midnight tantrums are more. Crying blindly for milk am helpless on what to do. 2015-12-30 13:47:16
message user image
Puja Vasisht
Your husband or any other family member can give her a top feed at that time. 2015-12-30 13:48:23
message user image
Ok will give a try then 2015-12-30 13:48:56
message user image
Puja Vasisht
Don't worry, it would take few days and slowly she would start accepting. 2015-12-30 13:49:51
