Cbse curriculum is available in all corners of the country call competitive exams ( Engg, medical) are aligned with the curriculum. It focuses more on science and math. ICSE is available in fewer schools. Curriculum is application oriented or project based learning. Gives a lot of emphasis on humanities. The curriculum gets deeper after grade 8. Do check the schools you wish to enroll. Inspire of the curriculum if the methodology is not child centred then it may be disappointing. 2018-12-26 11:00:42

Look into the vision of the school , the safety standards and the extra curricular activities they offer. 2018-12-26 11:01:29

Central board curriculum would be helpful if you think long term. Cbse curriculum is aligned with all competitive exams. Techno schools may be chosen if they also focus on extracurricular activities. 2018-12-26 11:03:52

Hi madam, i am confused. currently.my daughter is 4 years and she is in lkg. She joined playschool with daycare( same school - The learning curve) in Sep 17 when i joined office back. As i could sense the syllabus of nursery almost same as of playschool, i requested the school to make her directly to LKG which they agreed. She is able to cope up as well though it took 3 months of time. Whether my decision was right to make directly enter into LKG?? What is ideal age to get admission in 1st standard ( min-max- ideal) ??Also her current school Health Drink daycare has very less kids( 4) in her class. Do i need to change her school to more formal school or wait for 1 more year till she completes ukg as well???.Also, her current school doesnit conduct any examinations/ test. They juat give rating( colors- yellow, blue, green ) to evaluate her performance on various skills.

I understand your concern. If you think long term then it would be wiser to choose a formal school as early as possible. As per the latest govt circular a child has to complete six years by March 31st in grade 1. 2018-12-26 11:06:06

Assessment of any sort is valuable. Do not worry about it. Try to seek admission in a formal school as early as possible 2018-12-26 11:06:41

Please send him to playschool as it would prepare him physically mentally and emotionally to be away from home. It would prepare him for nursery too. He would learn to interact and play with peers. 2018-12-26 11:08:46

Kindly note that screen time affects the cognitive and linguistic development. Set a routine for his daily activities. Let him play , read and keep gadgets as a treat during weekends for twenty minutes only There would be tantrums but it is ok. Ignore and be firm on your rules. In fact discuss the rules and consequences with him before implementing. 2018-12-26 12:06:34

Alphabet can be taught using game and activities. Use newspaper and magazine and ask him to identify. Cut out letters from sandpaper Use the board to teach Trace letters on rice or sand or salt. 2018-12-26 12:08:28
