8 not to miss moments with your child

We all know the gyan on how to bond better with your child, but here are ten great ideas to make

each moment count with your child. Start Today!

1) Unplug around your child—When your children talk to you, talk to them, sincerely. The email and the messages can wait for when they are asleep.

2) Listen when you drive them around—With nothing much to do in the car, children are bound to talk. Listen. You will learn more about their day than asking pointed questions.

3) Don’t keep them busy, always—Give them time to do anything or nothing, everyday. Observation and introspection teaches children more than activity classes do

4) Love their friends—Because your child does. This will make him bring his friends at home, be open with you about them, and perhaps instil faith to talk to you in future about their relationships.

5) Make a memory—Once children go older, you will love to flip through the scratchy scrap books.

They too like it.

6) Share secrets—Even silly ones. ‘ Where to hide papa’s shoes?’. Little giggles and snorts, build

relationships like nothing.

7) Hug without a reason—and don’t be the first one to let go. Let the child have his fill.

questions, smile and ask him how he has been rather than how the class was. Makes all the

difference to the child.

8) Smile when you meet your child - be it after school, back from a class, after an exam - before you ask any of those questions, smile and ask your child, how s/he has been. Makes a big difference to the child.

Very nice article... sometimes we just need to stop and look around a bit... it happened to me... one day I just realized that my daughter is more important than work. I can juggle my priorities but she won't get her childhood days back... I am now more patient with her activities and spend more time with her.
