The journey which started in 2009 with Balika Vadhu is now coming to an end as actor Vikrant Massey has announced, what seems like, retirement from acting career. Massey is currently embracing one of his most cherished roles: that of a father. He and his wife Sheetal Thakur welcomed their son Vardaan on February 7, 2024. This new chapter in his life has brought immense joy and fulfillment and it seems like he wants to make the most of it. 

Known for his versatility and phenomenal acting skills that have never failed to captivate the audience, Vikrant Massey is one of India’s most celebrated actors. From the subtle charm and simplicity of Manoj Kumar Sharma in 12th Pass to mysterious Rishab Saxena in Haseen Dilruba and the menacing Bablu Pandit in "Mirzapur," Massey has time and again proved his ability to transition between roles with perfection. 

In his latest Instagram post, he shared a heartfelt message for his fans and loved ones. It read,

“The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. 

But, as I move forward,  realize, it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father and a Son. And also as an Actor.

So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time, until time dems right. 

Last 2 movies and many years of memories. 

Thank you again for everything and everything in between. 

Forever indebted.”
