hi Devi, as this happens when she is lying down, it may be due to post nasal drip ie mucus from the nose that not only blocks the nose but also trickles down to the throat and initiates the cough. At such times, make her sit up a bit and use saline drops to unblock the nose. She may also need decongestant nasal drops if this seems to be the case.
