Why is my child aggressive? How should I deal with my child's aggression? Have you ever wondered why your child gets so angry or irritated? What are the possible triggers? What should you do as a parent?
It is important we behave as adults and look for effective ways. And that we identify triggers and then handle accordingly. Some of the ways you can handle this include
Teaching your child about feelings - if he is able to identify and label feelings, so they get a good understanding of emotions.
Thinking of ways that can make your child calm and relax - Encourage them to engage in activities that can help them with their anger. This may include reading a book, coloring, playing, dancing etc.
Don't give in to their anger to avoid making these a habit. Rather, think of creative ways.
Avoid watching violent shows, movies etc.
Set a good example yourself
Appreciate their good behavior
It is not a good idea to yell at kids as it is harmful and can lead to exhibiting problem behavior.
