Why is messy play important in toddlers?

Created by Sridevi Didwania Updated on Jul 02, 2022

My son sriansh loves getting messy with, clay, paints, flours or even water and while it's a lot of work on cleaning the after math but I encourage him in doing so, since messy play is the open-ended exploration of materials and their properties. It allows him to use his natural curiosity and engage senses at the developmental level appropriate for him, and I could see him learn foundational cognitive principles as he exercise motor, language, and social and creative skill at the same time
