See your babies comfort though it's best advised to not give bottle (in terms of hygiene and addiction to bottle) to your child by any pediatrician world wide. Start by giving in a small spoon that doesn't hurt your child's gentle gums. If she is well adjusted then you must be one of the few lucky moms. If not then use a sipper/sippy cup ensuring you don't store any calorific liquids like juice or milk longer than an hour and water for a day. You can also try using a small bpa free non-toxic colorful(for attraction) cup or even a steel smooth edge glass. If not last resort is using bottles. Check for a suitable bottle: easier to hold, nipple satisfied and comfortable for your baby, non-toxic bpa free, easy to wash as well. Use a bottle non-toxic cleanser to cleanse baby bottles don't store any calorific liquid for more than an hour, don't give water in this as it might confuse baby. Use sippy cups instead for juice and water, change bottle every 3 months and nipple as and when necessary or when it gets worn out. Sterilisation is the key for maintaining best health and to avoid deadly Microbe build-up. Donot boil bottle. Steam sterilisation is the best method. Buy and electric steriliser or a microwave one. When bottles are not in use keep it always closed with tight caps
