Hi, it is perfectly fine for the baby to have cerelac at 5 months if he is not on breastfeed and totally on formula. Her milk intake of 500-600ml seems fine too but slowly try to give her more solids and reduce giving the milk to 3-4 times a day. I do the same for my little one (7 months). You may use alternate of cerelac like moong-dal chawal khichdi, moong dal, sooji kheer, daliya (mine doesn't like it), sago cooked in milk+water etc. Pulses water will be beneficial at this age and it adds to the protein intake of kids. Also, give her fruits in an infuser or just cut and chop them into a paste, add a little milk (formula or breastfeed). Make apple or pear puree, peas puree etc. A fact which my closed ones did not agree to-- when an infant starts sucking milk from a bottle, it is easier for him/her to have it. Eventually, they stop taking mother's feed as it involves sucking harder due to which they get tired easily and takes less feed.
