Hi again! I wud say excess of anything is bad. so by giving things in moderate quantities we r being wise n yet allowing our kids to taste everything. There is no doubt that home made things are always better, if time and circumstances permit u should try giving these options as they are any day healthier and safer for our kids.

Hi Samar, I agree with Shikha here, that anything is okay if given in moderation. You as a parent will need to take a call based on how convenient it is for you to always give fresh foods to your child. Home made things are definitely better but making them and having them ready always are sometimes a challenge. Also, let him taste different things but don't addict him to anything.

Yes, Baby should have taste of everything, and these foods are necessary for babies growth but only if given in moderate quantities daily in their food. But remember "Excess of everything is bad" and also take care that these products are fresh and should kept in hygienic place.

Dear Samar, both amul butter and custard powder have artificial flavours as well as preservatives in them added to keep up the taste and freshness. Thus, it is obvious that these are not the ideal foods for babies. Having said this, it is also not possible at times to only give natural foods to babies because of paucity of time and limited options. So, yes, you can give these foods to your baby but as other fellow parents suggested only in moderation.
