aunt with niece and nephew in home -- parenting or not?

Hi, I need some advice. We are getting the impression that we are irking our sister who lives with us. We took her in and her two young, teenage children. We have a structured home with family dinner, chores etc. Which we hold our daughter accountable for. We noticed it wasn't much of what our sister was doing as a single parent. We found out through another sister that she is feeling we are parenting her kids for her. What are your thoughts? We don't know of anyone who may be in a similar situation .

Hi Erica, it is a tricky situation but one that needs to be resolved quickly before it starts embittering the relations. So have a heart-to-heart chat with your sister and discuss her concerns -- write them down on a paper and then tell her your areas of concern and try to find out a middle ground where you both can mutually agree upon.
