my cousin had a baby recently and she's on her own... she's in US in the east where it is really cold... she's not sure how frequently should she massage her baby.. will massaging everyday be good for the baby in the cold weather although they are inside in heaters... also what is a good duration for the massage?

hi vani kulkarni ! yes massaging everyday does help.. she can massage once in a day if possible after taking all necessary precautions like covering her baby well under sheets with heating on. here is a blog with handy tips on the same. 7 to 10 minutes is a good enough durtaion for masssage or depending on baby's comfort level.. https://www.parentune.com/parent-blog/how-massage-help-baby-grow-better-best-time-and-oils-to-massage-how-to-massage-tips/2677?ptref=sa0l0000j66022d

Hi massaging with a light non sticky oil like that of Johnsons is a great way to start with. ALso post bath she can apply a good baby cream which will ensure the babies skin dosent dry up. A period of 10-15 months is sufficient .

Massaging once a day is good enough. Ask her to use J n J massag oil and massag for about 20-30 minutes every day. Leave for a while and then wash it off with J n J top to toe.
