Baby not taking breast milk
Created by Updated on Jan 10, 2016
I had a c-section delivery.. my baby girl is now 3 months old... due to low milk supply I had to keep her on top feed since the beginning.. i used to make her latch on breast 15mins each but due to very low milk supply it reduced.. now she is not even latching.. whenever I try to breastfeed she cries nd is just not ready to take it.. my doctor says it's called breast refusal nd it will happen as baby has got the bottle habit... I'm feeling very helpless.. Is there any way I can bring her back to breastfeeding.. Thanks.

Hello heena, There are a lot number of products in aurvedic to increase the milk supply. You can consult your doctor and try one. While coming to your baby 1st try feeding her while your baby is at sleep and in sleeping position. There are breastfeeding pumps available in the market pump frequently(for ever one hour), even this will help in increasing milk supply. Store the puped milk in milk containers and store them in freezer or in a bowl of water and you should use them before 5 hours. And feed your baby with that milk so that she will be used to the taste of breast milk. Even pumping the milk gives you the same feeling and comfort of feeding. Breast feeding is really good for both the mother and the child and a lot of patience is needed for you to make uour baby get used to your feeding. Take care
