Hi ....my son is 17 months old... but spks only few words like Amma, akka, etc...... is this normal for his age But he understands wht we spk n reply to it by actions

My son is 20 mnths old and just speak simple words like papa mamma baba mama.. but he understand what we speak... Is this ok wiyh his age?? In what age does the child speak generally??
