Hi mommies. My son is 9m old. Last month I had check up with doctor and his weight was 6. 66. today went for the mmr vaccine and checked for the weight. He is 6. 84 only. I'm giving him idly or porridges for bf, dal rice with rasam and veggies like carrots or peas or beans added with it and for dinner idly or rasam rice. In between the meals at morning 11 clock and evening 4. 30pm I'm giving him fruits like banana or pear or apple. feeding fruits is really difficult with him. Giving him milk as per his demands. He has lactose intolerance so im giving him isomil feed as per pediatric advise. I don't know where am I lacking?? And don't know why isn't his weight increased inspite of giving all the weight gaining foods?? Sorry for the long post. I'm really really depressed after seeing the weight today. I hoped he would have gained more weight. Please give solution for this.

Hi Aruna.... add some dairy products like curd, butter, ghee in most of the feeds, protein rich content food suc as green veg, pulses and you can add boiled yellow egg yolk... if you are continuing breastfeed yet it's well good and you have plan ur diet accordingly... this would help I hope

hi Aruna.. it depends lot on the birth weight and babies metabolism. and 200 GM's in a month is a decent gain as weight gain slow down after 8 months. what was his birth weight? and why do you want him to have more weight if he healthy and meeting milestones?
