Hi Manu Chhatwal! How r u! It is quite possible that your child must have seen u checking on your hair. He thinks it's a fun activity as mommy does that . So he is imitating u. He has no intention to hurt you and does not understand what can cause pain. It's just that u need to tell him politely 'NO' everytime he does that. Also u need to move away by leaving the room when he does that without getting angry at him. So that he realizes if I will do that "Mom will go away". Hope this helps!

Manu some children are in the habit of fiddling with their own body parts like their ears or belly or hair or their parent's hair or do rocking movement by swinging back and forth or indulge in some other repetitive movement. These are called self-soothing behaviors. it's advisable not to stop him or shout at him for doing so. He might not even reAlize he is doing it. It's a stress buster for your child and soothes him. Frequent reminders to not repeat those would rather convert it into a habit. It is advisable to Have snuggle or stuff toys also called plush toys for your child with which he can lay down and sleep. Give him more one- on- one contact by hugging him every now and then. Spend time with himm, cuddle him, praise him. Manu I'm sure with your patience and positive disciplining he will outgrow it. Hope this would help!
