I would not suggest banana... I think apple n pear are better suited options for winters...

Bananas can aggravate cough and cold and hence, it is better to avoid feeding banana to your baby, if he or she has cold and cough. The practice of feeding banana must also be avoided during winters and when there is an unexpected temperature drop all of a sudden.

if you are from South region of India, you will get yelaki banana, that can be given to your baby in winter season also. Even you can give it to baby if she/he has cough n cold. Yelaki banana is very healthy for kids n don't cause any cold n cough.

Half a banana once a day would not cause any harm to baby. As banana is a complete diet for a baby you can give alternate days. banana is a source of potassium which is not easily available in other foods.

Yes. You can and you should give one banana a day. I gave banana to my 10-month-old baby even when she had a cold. Her cold did not aggravate. May be her body constitution is such that she can take banana anytime and under any condition. Please check what suits your baby. Follow your instincts. As a mother, you know best what suits your child.
