My 1 year 10 months son has developed the habit of biting and hitting people whenever his wishes are not fulfilled. How can this be controlled?

hi. Shilpi Saha! a child would raise hand as he at that moment falls short of words.. or finds difficulllty in expressing his frustration. is your child able to communicate his needs ?if not talk a lot with him , help him give words to his feelings. for instance , if he wants to play with a particular toy lying somewhere out of his reach and he is trying hard to reach it but is unable to do so. getting angry is a natural response and he might hit you or anybody standing closer to him. In order to avoid that situation, u could teach him to come to you and say 'baby is upset/angry' you could pick him up in lap and ask 'why baby is upset?' 'baby wants that toy'. so teach him basic words that would help him to express himself. praise him when he speaks, give motivation through stars and smileys and a big hug when he doesn't hit and rather use words to express his emotions. hope this helps!
