Hi my girls is now 4 months old she is not gaining wt properly at 1 month she gained 1kg, 2month she gained 300 gms n 4 month she gained 600gms at 2nd month my pedi told me that baby should complete there feed within 20min if she is taking too long time then give her formula feed is it correct? also my milk supply is adequate my girl take 30 mins to full her tummy. When i staarted formula feed she not taking breastfeed properly like previously now am confused should I give her formula feed or not just because she takes long time to feed is it good to give top feed? Also am worried that she is not gaining good wt. her birth wt was 3kg now at 4 month its 5. 7 kg. Plz suggest me on a good note am very much worried coz of this also am trying various ways to increas my milk supply. What should I do?

Hi Puja, first of all, just relax and calm down, as being stressed out will affect your milk supply. As for the weight gain, her weight gain is well within the range (5. 1-8. 1 kgs at 4 months) so nothing to worry here as well. As for increasing your milk supply drink ajwain jeera water and before feeding drink a cup of warm milk.

thanks a lot shreya but am also worried tht doc said baby should not feed more thn 20mins but my daughter takes 30mins sometimes more is this correct? should i really give formula milk to her
