how to stop breastfeeding to make baby sleep. .he s 17 months old... lie down and breastfeeding him to make him sleep ...now how to stop that. any idea anyone

hi yamini raghavan ! if u wish u could continue till yr baby is 2 years old. however if u wish to discontinue u could gradually stop by reducing one feed of the day. folowed by 2nd and so on. u could replace it with a solid meal or give milk in a glass instead.. if it's during sleep time take help of yr hubby in maKing the baby sleep. he could narrate a story. avoid holding yr child in feeding position or wearing a feeding gown. gradually he would come around.

it's best to breastfeed till 2 years. it helps in optimal brain and physical development of a child

I too had an idea to feed him till 2... but he not eating food properly because of breastfeeding. so I thought I could stop breastfeeding... anyways thank u all
