breastfeeding of 1. 7yr daughter

My daughter is 1. 7yrs. I am still breastfeeding her . Doctors have asked me to stop. I wanted to continue till she is 2 years. Now my in laws and husband are forcing me to stop. I dunno what to do! I feed her only when she sleeps. In the afternoon and at night. Please suggest what I should do!

Can I know what's harm in feeding till 2 years.. I heard that sucking will develop brain functions.. Anyways, u pls ask the doctor why shouldn't feed till 2 years.

hey Supriya, the doc says that a nother hardly gets any milk post the baby turning 1 and they dont eat properly cos of feeding. doc is saying that child gets addicted and its difficult to leave later on.
