hey.. i cant able to breastfeed my baby.. cz i have a cracked nd sore nipples.. nd no ointments worked.. i am also using nipple shield once in a day.. and giving him nan pro.. what should i do? i am very worried about my baby's growth

hi diksha! don't worry at all. while the cracks shall get better over time, you could express milk with a breast pump and get your feed still to your child. you are already supplementing with formula and could continue to do so to supplement your feed for the baby. pls take care

hi diksha ! cracked nipples may happen due to incorrect feeding method.. make sure ur posture is correct and the entire areola is in baby's mouth .u can express milk from the affected breast ,otherwise the milk production will diminish. also the size of breasts would differ ,if u continue to feed from one breast.. apply breastmilk on the cracked nipple, and regularly apply cracked cream, it will heal soon..
