Can baby be given other milk if after breast feeding baby is still hungry

I have a son who is 10 days old and feeds his mothers milk but even after feeding he is still hungry. Maybe its not enough for him so can we give him milk prescribed by a doctor to supplement supplement it.

hi if the doctor has advised u need to go ahead and feed the baby with a good formula milk , supplement will alone not help to get rid if hunger . I too faced the same problem. my milk wasn't enough for the kid. so I used to feed my milk n formula milk both .

Go for formula feed as per doctor recommendation. but do take supplements to increase milk supply. increase fluid intake in the form of milk along with have fish in your diet if you are non veg especially there is shark fish(in Tamil we say sutra mean)add lot of garlic . wish you good luck

Sometimes very young babies do not have a proper latch or they confuse other senses with hunger hence they cry. you can start top feed but do not make it a major priority abd continue with bf other wise bormal milk supply will lower down.
