child taking formula milk & refusing mothers milk

my son is 5 month old. I started giving him formula milk lactogen nestle only 2-3 times a day coz his hunger was increased my milk was not sufficient. but now he has reduced taking my milk takes only when he is sleeping. & likes to drink formula milk. what should I do.

instead of formula milk, you could start steamed fruits like apple, mashed banana and dal ka pani to reduce his dependency on formula milk. meanwhile you can increase lactation by various methods like sauf ya ajwain ka pani, drinking more milk, avoiding fried and fast food.

There might be two reasons your baby is refusing mother's milk. One is the bottle feeding. Since milk easily flows without much effort, he may not like to do the hard work involved in getting mother's milk. Second is, the formula milk might be sweetened a bit so that babies like it and consume. Try to breast feed first and then give formula milk if he still refuses. Another option might be to pump and feed mother's milk in bottle.

try to increase ur milk still its not sufficient then when he feel hungry first feed ur milk then formula milk dnt give him bottle feed try to give by bowl n spoon. after 6m start other semi or liquid food
