My daughter who is 8 years old , doesn't feel confident while talking. she starts stammering and gives weird answers on being asked a question. she says whatever comes to her mind without thinking. she doens't even greet guests. this becomes embarrassing for me in front of guests .

Hi Sharda! You could deal with her patiently take each day at hand and try and build on her confidence. Make her join activity of her choice. This would help in boosting her confidence. Praise her for her small small achievements so that she feels she can handle situations well. when you go out you had the opportunity to to decide things for herself such as what means to eat, what dress to wear etc. Let her order things for herself. Begin with situations where she feel she is not being judged. Gradually involve her in community work so that she gets to communicate with others.

I think you are the only one who can build her confidence. Firstly narrow down the distance between you both and now I get editing and proofreading dissertation to manage my thesis work. Talk to her in frank way and teach her little things off Course I am talking about good manners but for that you need to be friendly with her.
