Umarani please involve your husband and request him to keep a tab on his day to day performance at school and at home. it's time u motivate him to start self studying by alloting him work. u could give him test papers which he needs to finish within stipulated time . praise him for his efforts. mark syllabus which he needs finish within a week . make use of innovative methods to teach a topic such as reading books, doing research, collecting info, giving examples from everyday life, showing him real objects etc. hope this helps!

Thank u Shikha for ur ideas. As I am working he doesn't listen my words. He is very lazy. Now itself he can't do his own work. Otherwise he will take more time to complete a task.

hi Umarani! if we apply it in our lives , we usually tend to forget things which we don't like. for instance , if u dont like a particular friend u would forget to wish her on her birthday , as ur subconscious mind has this message that u want to avoid her. so u have the answer in your question itself, since he doesn't like to write he forgets to keep his pen pencils back in his box. first u need to work on making him interested in writing. this can be done by making him write a page of diary ,on any topic of his choice or how his day has been , etc. also u could make him write with colourful chalks, or colourful pens on paper or a diary. display his writing sheet on wall or hang it on a clothesline . this would motivate him to write more. also he would not dread writing and would remember to collect his pens and pencils. besides this please put a note on front side of his box in bold letters " COLLECT YOUR PEN and PENCILS". hope this helps!
