Hi mums, once your little one came to this world, other than mother's milk was there something else (desi nuske) that you gave to your newborn which made them healthy (golu molu) or was mother's milk enough to make them healthy? Please share your experiences

Hi Neha ! Till 6 months exclusive breastfeed is enough for the baby as it is a complete food and contains all the essential nutrients required by the baby. avoid gharelu nuskhe as it can have side effects also please note all chubby babies are not healthy. its a myth golu molu baby means a healthy baby. If ur baby's weight gain is fine ,baby is active and cheerful, nothing to worry. u r doing a great job as a mother ! Take good care of yourself too!

Jaiphal is not advised at this age. Do exclusive breastfeed for 6 month and then start semi solid food to baby. Keep a track on baby's weight. Focus on increasing the breast milk supply- take care of your diet, eat lots of green vegetables like methi, spinach etc. Here is also a blog that may help you give a read- https://www.parentune.com/parent-blog/9-tips-to-increase-breast-milk-supply-in-lactating-moms/812

My baby was born underweight so elders r suggesting to give my baby nutmeg ( jaiphal) and some other stuff. Don't know whether to give it to my baby or not as I'm not confident about it
