Dear Anju, honey is not advised for babies under one year of age. Though I know of mothers who gave honey to their babies, but I would always suggest not to do so. If your son's cough persists or gets worse, you should take him for a check up as this is the season for cold, flu which leads to ear/ throat infection. So if your baby doesn't feel better, has fever, stops taking fluids, then please rush to the doctor. In the meanwhile, you may try rubbing some Vicks Vaporub on his feet and covering them with socks. This is especially helpful at night. I have done this for both my children when they were babies and it does magically help with the cough. Vicks is however not adviced to be used to children under 2 years of age, so please make sure to use a tiny ball (the size of a green pea) and rub under both his feet, then put socks on. You could also invest in a cool mist humidifier. A humidifier will moisten the air in the room and provide some relied to your son's throat as the dry winter air is known to irritate the throat and make anyone's cough worse! Hope he feels better soon.

Dear Anju! I agree with Anurima. U cud use humidifier, give lukewarm water for drinking, n if cough persists u cud consult ur doc n give medication accordingly.
