i m having gd(gestational diabetes) taking medicines. now it's fasting 84 and after meal 139.. and in scan report it's showing slight increase in amniotic fluid.. so doctor advised me to get delivery at the beginning of ninth month i. e after 16th november. but my due date is 21st December. is it ok if baby delivered so early n does it have any complications after birth??

hi asifa patil ! there could be complications if delivery date is not preponed such as large size baby injury to baby during childbirth ,etc it is advisable to go by your doctor's advice and have faith in her .if you still have any doubts please go in for second opinion. here is a link given below on gestational diabetes. go by doctor s advice. rapid increase in baby s weight is not good. I too faced the same. had delivered 23 days ahead. control your sugar levels seriously. btw how many weeks are you now?

s. she had jaundice and recovery from that has taken a little more time as the liver has not matured completely in 37th week. they'll check for sugar for baby too, it should be more than 50. nothing to worry much. all d best.
