Hi.. My son is just 1 month old now.. I have less milk.. so started giving formula feed often.. Now he refuses to suck breast feed.. He is hungry always and need 120 ml at one time.. I try to make him suck evertime.. But he needs bottle as it has good flow.. I tried manual breast pump.. But it doesn't work.. I got only 20 ml milk in 1 hour.. I want to give breast milk anyway . As a last option I want to try electric breast pump.. Will it work?? Any one who used electric breast pump plz reply.. Since it is that costly.. Is it worth to buy that?? is that painful?? Will you get more milk in less time??

Hi Priyanka, first of all, get rid of that notion that your feed is not enough. Secondly, before you breastfeed your baby ensure to drink a glass of water/milk/coconut water. Increase the intake of ajwain, and jeera in your diet. Thirdly, electric breast pumps are good for expressing breast milk. You may also like to use wide mouth bottles for your baby as they have a nipple that resembles mother's breasts thus avoiding any nipple confusion.

I like your thought that you wanted to give breastmilk somehow. If your baby is not feeding directly, breast pumps will surely help. Even with a manual pump you can get more milk but only that you need to pump more often and definitely within a week or so you can see the increase in your supply. Make sure that you keep up a schedule even in the nights
