Hi all, my daughter is going to complete 4 months on April 5th. When breastfed, she drinks for only 5 minutes after that she cries. she doesnt want to drink. Since this was concerning me, i started with formula. Unfortunately she is not drinking through bottle as well. I put her to sleep. When she is half sleep i give her bottle, she sometimes completes what is mixed but other times she rejects it. Gap between every feed is 3 hours. Night times she is breastfed without issue It is worrying me a lot. Her weight is 5. 5 kgs. Birth w8 2. 6 kgs. Guide me....

Hi hemalatha.... ur baby weight is absolutely normal as per the birth weight... it's happens as they start to play as their sensing on hearing, looking, smelling getting developed which would be the diverting factor and amount of milk intake will be less.... it's normal and don't worry... keep on breastfeed when ur kid needs even twice in 30 min is not an issue.... you plan ur diet accordingly... I would suggest you to not to have formula milk as you are able to bf....

Thank you Dharani.... Since she is very playful even if i try to breastfeed her every 30 minutes or 3 hours she cries... Ahe sucks for few minutes and leaves it. I feel that wouldnt have filles her stomach. Regard to formula, in my last visit for vaccination, she said baby could have gained better. Give formula...

it's happens Hemalatha.... kid will be playful in this phase and don't use to feed milk even for 5 min... sometimes you can feed forcibly.... if you are giving formula milk in bottle and she is having tat normally, try to pump ur milk and feed it in bottle so tat works
