My baby is 5months 1 week old.. she is on fm since 2 months. No bm.. how many ml of fm should I give to my baby in a 24 hours.. pls tell me.. because she is not taking milk sufficiently..

Hi Swathi, If she is having sufficient milk at a time then you can give again with a short gap of 1 hour. Is she refuses dont force , try after 10-15 mints again.

hi Swathi Suresh! a 5 months old baby should have around 900 ml of milk in 24 hours. another thumb rule is baby will have between 150 to 200 ml of formula milk per kg of her body weight everyday. so even if her intake is somewhere closer , it's not a cause of concern . monitor her weight gain and activity level. also avoid force feeding. keep a gap between two feeds and Look for signs of hunger. only if the baby is hungry will she be interested in having milk. hope this helps!
