In first trimester when is the best time to take folic acid supplement? Is it after breakfast or lunch??

Thanks a lot Deepika for such a detailed response. I will keep this in mind while starting Iron tabs.

Any time is okay. Folic Acid absorption is not affected by dietary factors. When you do start Iron and Calcium (second trimester), then you have to be careful. Don take them together; they compete for absorption in body resulting in poor absorption of both. Avoid, milk, tea or caffeinated drinks within 2 hours of taking iron.
