you can give her sauteed vegetables, flavoured with herbs and butter; or make pasta using wholewheat pasta, homemade puree, and lots of finely diced vegetables

Hi Pragathi! It's indeed frustrating when a child does not eat regular food. Making something special everyday could be time consuming as well as tedious. Try wrapping the same thing in a beautiful wrapping paper with child's favorite decorations on it. In other words start from the plate. The plate should be attractive with child' s favorite character on it and Mommy dear mimicking it's sound. Now u could make rice appealing to eyes and taste buds by adding natural color to it say yellow rice by adding Haldi or Kesar. Or Making different colored layers and stacking on top of each other and giving it a face with a smile. or making rolls with roti/cheela/ragi dosa/ with colorful stuffings. Sometimes adding lil spices works wonders as children get bored having same bland dishes. U need to display yr hidden talents too by building stories around it, making funny faces and sounds. This will add zing to same normal food time and I am sure u both would enjoy it.

Try different shapes while serving, garnish, make the normal dishes for example- make a small mountain structure for rice .. tell you daughter this is a mountain. Try once :)
