how should I prepare khichdi for my 6+ months baby

Hi Nazia, take 1teaspoon rice, 1teaspoon moong dal nd Very small quantity of any one vegetables such as carrots,spinach,peas, cauliflower or as per ur choice.. grind all dis ingredients then cook in pressure cooker,leave it for 3 to 4 whistle dis is how I prepare khicdi.

Hi Nazia what I used to do was at first make the rice totally edible. Then put the vegetables suggested by your doctor in half tablespoon of hited soya or ricebran oil. Stir for less than 1mnt and add some salt, turmeric powder n sugar for making the taste then pour some water. N also add the Masur daal. It is full of protein which up baby needs. All these vegetables n daal making do in a coocker n put the edible rice in there. Then put on pressure until it's totally ready to eat for your baby. As you are saying your baby's age 6+ so give him or her smashed food. It will help to swallow.

which vegetable should I use. I just need to boil it with a pinch of salt??

Please do not add salt until one year as ur baby's kidney will not be able to accept salt i. e. : iodine and it is not advised by doctors
