formula milk

My baby is 10 days old, due to high does of antibiotics my milk supply has reduced and i am feeding him with formula milk from 4 days now and continuing with breast milk also. Is it ok to give formula milk till i get enough supply of breast milk

Hi Sandhya ! U could continue with formula milk if advised by ur doc.. however, the more u will breastfeed ,the more will be the milk production. also try and have a nutritious diet ,relax while feeding, connect with yr child. Give skin to skin touch.. the more u will feed even when u r unwell, the more antibodies will go in baby through breatsfeed which is good for the baby. So continue with breastfeeed.

Hi.. If you are not able to breastfeed then ask your doctor and give youe baby formula milk which is closest to the breast milk. Aptamil formula milk is supposed to be very close to breastmilk as it has prebiotics which are present in breastmilk and help to improve your baby's gut.
