Hi. I want to start my baby on juices. He's 7 months now. I wanted to know which fruit juice is suitable for babies? And is 'tropicana''real fruit juice 'good enough? In what quantity should it be given? Any suggestions.

If you want to add sugar ensure it is just a pinch of it. Your baby at this age won't be able to recognise the sweet taste. However, please do taste the orange before you squeeze its juice. It should not be sour.

Fresh fruit juices are better for infants ... and you can start with apple and banana (cooked) Quick recipe : steam an apple, peel it and smash it ( or run it in a mixer for a smooth paste) and then add some honey and feed ... my baby is 6 months and she loves it ... yumm yumm

though ideal time to start fruits is nine months.. a small quantity can be given otherwise the kidneys cannot bear the salt load.. tropicana and real have hardly 15% of actual content.. rest all is sugar.. even if your are giving fruit juice, reduce the quantity
