My 3 year old daughter is a fussy eater and from past 1. 5 years she suffers from cold and cough. Now whenever she has cough it turns into wheezing.  I reside in Bangalore. Will highly appreciate suggestions/advises from fellow parents.

Hi Deepti! It is advisable to avoid dairy products as these are considered to increase cough. U cud try making hAndy food items which a child can hold in hand and eat comfortably. Like u can give small different shapes paranthas with healthy n colourfull fillings which u can roll n give to d child. U cud try iron rich dishes such as those made of murmura moongfali chat, with roasted chana and add cubes of cucumber, tomato to it. U cud add fresh coriander leaves to add taste and nutrition. U cud use natural homemade ingredients to get rid of cough such as ginger and honey, tulsi leaves extract, serve lukewarm water, etc. try giving many interesting recipes such as upma, poha, dalia with lots of vegetables. Hope this helps.

Hi Deepti, my son has the same problem from the time he was 1. 5 yrs. We started homeopathy and also have a nebuliser handy at all times. He is showing good improvement post homeopathy. Also as the others state, variety in food keeps them going, and try to split the meals rather than keeping them to 3 times. Feeding them small quantities every 2 hours really works, and it still does for me. :)You could also try giving cinnamon powder in honey twice a day to help build immunity and reduce cold and cough. All the best!!
